About Harriet Colours
Harriet Lawson is a visual artist and facilitator based in Yorkshire. She graduated from Batley School of Art in 2014 and now has a studio-based practice exploring the human condition and environment through mark-making and color. Harriet also works within communities to create public art murals, connecting people to their communities/environment and honoring local heritage and stories. She is passionate about learning about different communities and their identities, which she then translates into meaningful, site-specific artwork that is relevant to and loved by the community. Harriet strongly believes that creative projects can be restorative to communities. She also facilitates creative workshops and is the current lead artist at Maker World Dewsbury, providing creativity for families.
