Harriet Lawson is a visual artist and facilitator based in Yorkshire. She has exhibited in Dewsbury, Leeds, Wakefield, Bradford and London. Harriet graduated from Batley School of Art in 2014 and now has a studio-based practice exploring the human condition and environment through mark-making and color. She also works within communities to create public art murals, connecting people to their communities/environment and honoring local heritage and stories. Harriet loves to learn about different communities and their identities, which she can then translate into meaningful, site-specific artwork that is relevant to and loved by the community. Harriet's public artworks are for the community, and she strongly believes that creative projects can be really restorative to communities!
